Shradha’s Therapeutic and Rehabilitation Centre is a dedicated initiative committed to improving the quality of life of children with disabilities, particularly those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). The centre has been functioning since 2016 with the continuous support of the Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department (SSEPD), Government of Odisha.
Over the years, the centre has become a vital support system for families, currently serving more than 40 children with special needs. It provides a structured and inclusive environment where each child receives individualized care, therapy, and education aimed at enhancing their functional abilities and independence.
The centre offers a comprehensive range of rehabilitation services, including:
- Physiotherapy to improve mobility, strength, and physical functioning
- Occupational Therapy to enhance daily living skills and sensory integration
- Special Education tailored to the learning needs of children with IDD
- Vocational Training to develop pre-employment and livelihood skills
- Basic Education to build foundational literacy and numeracy
Shradha’s approach focuses on holistic development, combining therapeutic interventions with education and skill-building. The centre not only works on improving the children’s physical and cognitive abilities but also fosters confidence, social interaction, and independence.
With consistent support from the Government of Odisha and dedicated efforts from trained professionals, Shradha’s Therapeutic and Rehabilitation Centre continues to play a crucial role in empowering children with disabilities and promoting inclusive development within the community.
